So the plan is to use one of the Timeshare promotional
advertisements to find a place to stay in Cabo.
There are some great deals out there if you are willing to listen to a Timeshare
pitch. I thought it would provide an
excellent opportunity to learn about Timeshares, see professional sales folks
at work, and save some money.
I managed
to find a deal at Villa Del Palmar and after agreeing to hear the pitch I
awaited to hear from the resort to confirm my reservation. This is where I failed the attitude test. First they asked if I was going to see any
friends down there. They wanted their
names. I refused to tell them. Then they wanted to know my travel plans
prior to arriving at the resort. You see
Indya has a flight, and I am thinking of driving down. So my plans are completely up in the air, or
on the ground so to speak. It became a
privacy issue.
As it
turned out, they cancelled me because I wouldn’t give up my private info. I have subsequently made a new reservation at
a different resort, leaving out the details of our travel plans. I will give a detailed report on the
experience in December
This is
what I have learned so far about Timeshares, they don’t want you to go anywhere
or talk to anyone else prior to seeing their business, so they expect to pick
you up at the Airport and take you directly to the resort and then first thing
in the morning have you attend a 90 minute pitch. BTY, free airport transport is only on the
way into the resort.
